Meet Chula, Fox, who's ready to play Ishtaboli!
Ishtaboli is the Choctaw word for stickball, a traditional game with deep roots among Indigenous peoples of the Southeast. Played for generations, stickball remains a living tradition in Choctaw communities and throughout the Southeast today.
Created in celebration of Indigenous Peoples Day 2026, this special bar features original, hand-drawn artwork by Choctaw Artist Courtney Yellowwolf. Chula (Choctaw word for Fox) is dressed and ready for the game, surrounded by autumn leaves, little acorns, and a persimmon, a meaningful nod to Choctaw culture. The bottom layer is made with goat milk soap, topped with crystal-clear glycerin soap. Courtney’s illustration is printed on water-soluble paper that gradually dissolves as you use the bar, letting you enjoy the artwork while it lasts. Finished with a cheerful cranberry orange fragrance!
Chula brings together Southeastern Native tradition, original Indigenous art, and a little autumn sunshine. Our cultures are living, growing, and carried forward through our traditions, our art, our language, and our communities. You will receive 1 bar of Chula.
